It’s no secret that the Internet has dramatically altered the global business landscape, and has forever revolutionized the way that business it conducted. It has also allowed millions of Entrepreneurs who would historically have been unable to launch businesses of their own to compete in nearly any market that they desire.

Today, home business entrepreneurs have access to the same markets as the world’s largest corporations. You want to go toe to toe with Amazon? Or Walmart? Now you that opportunity.

And success stories featuring Internet Entrepreneurs abound. One doesn’t have to look far to find “rags to riches” stories of online marketers (how many of these stories are real vs. fabrications is a matter of continuous debate).

However, it’s also true that, because of the perceived lower barriers to entry in Internet Marketing as compared to “traditional business”, there are far more entrants into this business arena. And the failure rate is higher to a staggering degree.

In fact, it’s been estimated that over 95% of ALL new Online Businesses will FAIL within the first year.

One key reason for this alarming statistic is that most people who enter the Internet Marketing arena are not now, nor have any intention of ever becoming a true Business Professional.

These Internet Amateurs want to simply throw together a website, blast it out there on the Internet, and then wait for money to start piling up in their bank accounts.

They don’t realize that operating an Online Business is very similar to operating a “traditional business”. Granted, there are many key differences, and the barriers to entry online are definitely lower than otherwise.

But the Internet Marketing arena is no different from the traditional business arena in that it will be the true Business Professionals who will achieve success and create wealth, while the “amateurs” will continue to struggle and will eventually fail.

The single biggest reason behind this fact is that it will be the Online Professionals who will take the time and expend the effort necessary to learn how to effectively market a business using the Internet.

And it will be the amateurs who continue to respond to those pathetic websites with the scantily clad woman draped over the exotic sports car, with the piles of cash in the background.

But sharp Entrepreneurs (read: true Business Professionals) see right through these hype-filled smoke screens, and they recognize these so-called “business opportunities” as the bogus scams that they typically are.

You will never catch a true Online Business Professional responding to a hype-driven website like previously described. In fact, a Business Professional would be REPELLED by them – these Online Entrepreneurs are looking for something much more important than promises of riches with no effort.

They are looking for,and demand SUBSTANCE.

If fact, future online professionals already know that the single best way to create success in the Online Arena is to learn from, and to partner with, existing Internet Business Professionals.
